El Ron Prohibido Habanero Rum is a Mexican rum made from a blend of several rums that have been aged for different numbers of years, then aged in a solera for an additional amount of time to marry the flavours and deepen the colour. The result is dark brown, almost reddish in colour, thanks to barrels previously used to age sweet raisin wine. The first thing you’ll notic about El Ron Prohibido Habanero Rum is the sweet, buttery aroma, with notes of toffee and vanilla, while the palate is rich in chocolate, spices, and earthy dried fruits. El Ron Prohibido Habanero Rum sports a satisfying thickness when it comes to mouthfeel, which makes it a terrific rum for sipping.
