This cask strength 12-year matured Scotch Whisky is a product of the Macallan distillery and has been matured in ex Sherry barrels to create a full bodied, interesting flavour.
Imparting the flavour of a combination of American and European sherry-soaked oak, this is a Scotch whisky with a wonderfully complex flavour. With aromas of dried fruit and aromatic butterscotch as well as the more obvious sherry oak, this Scotch whisky has flavour tones of thick cut marmalade, cinnamon pastry and a sweet creaminess.
Light in colour, this scotch also has a certain floral quality, rounded off with a citrus finish.
Savour on its own over ice, perhaps with a small splash of water to bring out its smooth flavour.
